Right near the newly erected Hauptbahnhof, this "smart luxury" hotel sports a bent sailboat on its roof. It was designed by Vienna's local art hero Erwin Wurm and is just one of many works of art scattered around this design-conscious establishment. In addition to its stylish and simple design, it has a bunch of crazy extras. Some rooms have hammocks, some have panoramic views of the city, and they even let you stay in a luxury trailer in their own urban garden. In that garden, they keep bees and use the honey that they produce in the on-site bakery, which has become a popular spot among Viennese foodies. The hotel's a bit off the beaten track, but guests can rent bikes (€5/day) or scooters (€15/day). A good choice if you want an affordable stay to remember.
