This designer boutique hotel goes all the way. Creator Otto Ernst Wiesenthal calls it "your personal residence in Vienna" and takes pride in offering individual experiences in the stylishly quirky rooms with big windows, parquet floors, vivid walls, mismatched upholstery fabrics, and original art. Each room has a themed selection of books and art magazines, and the hotel boasts the best collection of lamps in Austria. The newest suite was decorated in 2012 by acclaimed Austrian clothing designer Lena Hoschek in lush 1920s style. The hotel now also offers apartments for longer stays (prices on request). Not only is a hearty breakfast included but also tea and cakes in the afternoon. To complete the artistic atmosphere, guests can also play the Bösendorfer piano in the cafe. The affordability of the classic rooms is a real find for such elegant and central lodgings.
