Getting There

There are 10 buses daily to Baeza, less than 10km (6 1/4 miles) away, and to Jaén. Seven buses per day go to the busy railway station at Linares-Baeza, where a train can take you virtually anywhere in Spain. Bus service to and from Córdoba, Seville, and Granada is also available. Ubeda's bus station is in the heart of the modern town, on Calle San José (tel. 95-375-21-57), where signs will point you on a downhill walk to the zona monumental.

To drive here, turn off the Madrid-Córdoba road, head east for Linares, and then move on to Ubeda, a detour of 42km (26 miles). The turnoff is at the junction with N-322. From Jaén, the capital of the province, take N-321 northeast for 57km (35 miles).
