Tallinn Backpackers is by far the most popular hostel in the city, and for good reason. It provides clean, comfortable lodgings for budget travelers and a social atmosphere for those seeking a good time. Bargain hunters can rest easy knowing a night in a six or eight-bed mixed dorm will barely put a dent in their wallets, while groups who'd prefer not to mingle can opt for a pricier four, five, or six-bed private room. Staff members are dedicated to providing fun for their guests, who are greeted with "welcome shots" upon arrival; beer pong, free pub crawls, and dress-up nights keep the party going from there (visit on Wizard Wednesday for a really unique trip). Tallinn Backpackers also offers free walking tours and trips to Lahemaa National Park and Tallinn's AK-47 shooting range for those who'd rather focus their energies on daytime activities.

Despite its self-proclaimed reputation as "Tallinn's Best Party Hostel," Backpackers is not as rowdy as you might expect: guests in need of a good night's sleep have nothing to worry about thanks to quiet neighbors whose presence keeps the hostel from getting too noisy. Travelers who really prioritize partying should stay at The Monk's Bunk, run by the same company. One staffer put it best: "this is more like the place where the party starts."
