Drop in to this small but interesting museum at lunchtime on Fridays for free half-hour talks on a range of topics—mostly about arts and culture—by guest speakers. You can also watch and talk to Aboriginal artists in residence as they work. Housed in a restored 1850s sandstone warehouse, this museum is dedicated to telling the story of The Rocks from pre-European days to the present. Learn about the area’s traditional landowners; the establishment of the English colony; the sailors, whalers, and traders who called the area home; and the 1970s union-led protests that preserved this unique part of Sydney.
