Sturbridge is a quiet, pretty New England community, populated by working people. There are two reasons for all the motels and restaurants in this town of 7,837 residents: an antiques show that sets up three times a year in the adjacent town of Brimfield, and Old Sturbridge Village, a living museum comprising 19th-century buildings and "residents" who demonstrate the pursuits of the period. One of the top tourist destinations in central Massachusetts, it is deservedly popular.
Note that some "Main Street" addresses are on Route 20 and others are on Route 131.
