The signature restaurant at the Isle de France resort is, like the hotel, pretty wonderful in every way. The views of the curve of Flamands beach and sunbathing bodies is pure eye candy. The famed pea soup is as good as ever, and the kitchen shows a deft touch with seafood. The Tuesday-night fashion show, charmingly featuring amateur models and children of all ages, is a tradition that never gets old. Service is warm and attentive, and the casual-elegant ambience hits the St. Barts sweet spot. For many, however, dining at La Case de l'Isle is more special-occasion privilege than regular stop; even the excellent wine list has few selections under €70. Lunch may be the ideal meal for those who don't want to spend a bundle; it's understandably popular, as much for the slightly gentler prices as for that sun-splashed setting.
