Owned by an interior designer, this St. Augustine landmark has been beautifully restored with British colonial furnishings and accessories. It also happens to be the 7th oldest house on St. Augustine’s oldest street. Just 1 block from the bayfront, the B&B offers a delicious breakfast (quiches, stuffed crepes, eggs Florentine, and much more), evening wine in the inn’s stunning garden courtyard with homemade cookies, loaner bikes, desserts, coffee, and more. Eight out of the 10 rooms have fireplaces and whirlpool tubs.

One warning (that will be an enticement for some): this B&B is said to be haunted. The manager says that on occasion people staying in the Montejurra have reported having their shoulders shaken in the middle of the night. Plus the floors creak, which some find charming, while others just book rooms on the upper floor, where the footing is more solid.
