A former Ramada Inn with completely reimagined decor, Hotel Five is a (usually) reasonably priced and conveniently located choice. Although the hotel is not right in the downtown shopping core, you can easily walk there or to Seattle Center within a few minutes, and the cafes and restaurants of Belltown are all around. Now about that room decor: It uses a lot of red (with dark comforters), and it seems to have taken its inspiration from urban graffiti and semi-psychedelic swirl-art paintings. It’s not what you’d call serene; however the furnishings are comfortable and the bathrooms are good. Down in the retro-70s-looking lobby, Max’s Café serves breakfast and lunch.
