Frommer's Review
The family-style meals served here are famous all over Georgia. More than five million hungry eaters have devoured food at the Dillard House since 1915. Country-cured ham, Southern fried chicken, tons of fresh vegetables, old-fashioned corn bread, pan-fried trout, and all the relishes and desserts you could ever want burden the tables. No one in history has ever left here hungry. You can also lodge at Dillard House Hotel, which has been restored and furnished in part with antiques. It has 85 rooms, costing $59 to $159. Eight suites with kitchenettes cost $99 to $159. Guests have use of a swimming pool and tennis courts, and can also go on horseback rides at the Dillard House Stables.
