While the Catedral has renovated much of the property in recent years (along with upping the price considerably), travelers don't stay here for the amenities. The location, literally around the block from Plaza Grande, is the main draw. The rooms are better than they once were, although they're still quite plain and lacking in any character whatsoever. You'll definitely want one of the few accommodations with windows, as the others can feel downright claustrophobic. There's a pleasant sitting area on the second level, as well as an atrium-covered central courtyard with a very basic restaurant.
