This seafood restaurant right on the sands of Bavaro beach is one of the go-to places in Punta Cana for weddings, anniversaries, and other splash-out dinners. It’s an oversized, open-air, two-story thatched “hut” that looks like something the Professor on Gilligan’s Island might have built, complete with branch railings on the wrap-around decks and a long swathe of parachute cloth on a system of pulleys and ropes so a sail-like shade can be lowered (turning the place into a giant mushroom on the beach).

Given the location, it is no surprise they specialize in seafood: a mixed grill (lobster, shrimp, calamari, octopus, conch, and fish); sea bass and shrimp in a ginger-passion fruit sauce; coconut shrimp; or steam-cooked lobster tail in a herbed butter sauce.
