Frommer's Review
This was one of the first hotels constructed on the fabulous sands of Grace Bay Beach. The hotel is a fantastic value and has charm to spare, but don't expect anything grand or a huge laundry list of resort amenities. What it does have is a laid-back, informal vibe, alluring courtyard gardens, and knockout Grace Bay views. It's considerably more personable than any chain-style hotel, with rooms that have a light, breezy decor and a serious emphasis on comfort -- everything has been nicely updated. For a stupendous deal on Grace Bay, book the one-bedroom upstairs apartment, detached from the actual hotel. It has a full kitchen (with pots, pans, plates, the works), a separate living room, a big, comfortable bed, and two oceanfront patios, one screened, one open -- you'll feel as if you have your own sunny beachfront cottage within spitting distance of the million-dollar sands of The Palms. On-site is the Bay Bistro, a sunny beachside restaurant offering barefoot diners breakfast, lunch, and dinner.
