Frommer's Review
You won't find a setting like this one anywhere else on the flat scrublands of Provo: high on a hill overlooking Turtle Cove Marina, with the sparkling lights of the island spread out before you. You could almost be dining in a cliff-side trattoria overlooking the Mediterranean Sea. Magnolia has only been around since 2002 but has already established itself as one of the best places to dine in Provo -- both for the romantic outdoor setting and the delicious food. The chef has a sure hand when it comes to marrying flavors, and the sesame-seed-and-cracked-pepper-crusted rare seared tuna is emblematic of this approach. Nothing could be earthier or more flavorful than the house-smoked pork chop served with apple preserve and sweet potato mush. Start with a Magnolia appetizer sampler (for two people), which features spring roll, tuna tartare, tempura shrimp, and mozzarella.
