Frommer's Review
This is a favorite among locals, but visitors also find the warm, romantic ambience and good food hard to resist. It's set on the terrace deck of what appears to be a Caribbean cottage with gingerbread trim, gaily illuminated with strings of twinkling lights and flaming torches. Colorful Haitian artwork blankets the walls. The menu reflects the French/Mediterranean influences of its chef/owner Pierrik Marziou. But the vibe is pure Turks & Caicos, with a leisurely "what-me-worry?" approach to dining and life in general. Fresh seafood is a big draw; the conch chowder is a big, hearty meal in itself. Also good are the conch Creole, shrimp Caicos (spicy jumbo shrimp served with a seafood risotto and veggies), and seafood gumbo (shrimp, lobster, scallops, fish, mussels, with tomato, vegetables). Sometimes the Marseilles-born Marziou gets carried away with the spices (why oh why would you bury a Caicos lobster under a crust of herbs?), but in general everything is very tasty.
