Set in a restored industrial building on the east side of the river, Olympic Provisions opened in 2009 as the first salumeria—salami specialty shop—in the city. Now it's the place to go for the best pancetta, chorizo, and fennel-pocked finocchiona in town. If those words are foreign to you, don't worry; the proprietors will educate you on the finer points of charcuterie as you peruse the meat-centric menu of Spanish and Mediterranean small plates. Choices like shrimp in chile oil and chevre pair well with one of the rosés or sherries on the Old World wine list. And if you'd like to take something home, step up to the retail counter for a pistachio-laden mortadella to go.
