Ever want to sleep in a lighthouse? How about one with all the refinements of a great boutique hotel? With the Lighthouse, you get your wish. Guest digs come in two styles. The 15 Lighthouse Suites feature all white-upholstered rattan furniture and marble baths with jacuzzi tubs. They are all located on the second floor and look out on either the Bay of Wight or the marsh and city. On the third floor, eight Lightkeeper Suites have sitting areas with gas fireplaces and wet bars, two-person jacuzzis beside the bed, and marble bathrooms. In 2012, Hurricane Sandy forced an early renovation, including new carpets and upholstery. The club room, also redone after the hurricane, offers a cozy refuge with a fireplace in winter, and an honor bar year-round after 5pm. Next door, the Edge, a sister property, offers even more variety, at least in terms of decor; each suite is decorated differently with a touch of French or Asian style. All of the suites are spacious with two-person jacuzzis in the bedroom and sitting areas with gas fireplaces and wet bars. Bathrooms are located behind glass block walls in many of the rooms. Each unit is bayfront with the balcony overlooking the pool, available for use by guests from both properties. There are two penthouse suites and a pair of two-bedroom suites.
