It’s the little things that count at Affinia. Like the 20% discount you get at the attached hotel (and the 10% discount at nearby Macy’s). Or the pillow menu, which isn’t a new concept but still a great touch for those of us who are particular how we lay our heads. And since this is a noisy area of town, earplugs are a standard amenity in the bedside table drawer. Rooms come in a variety of sizes, from full suites with real kitchens to smaller rooms, but even these are larger than you’ll normally get in NYC. And they’re pretty, too, with a wall-paper of giant gray and white flowers and a little stuffed monkey to greet you on your white duvet. As I said, sometimes it’s the little things that make a difference.
