Emmy-winning TV host Michael Chiarello was a chef first, and here he goes back to his roots. As at many other restaurants in the area, the ingredients are proudly locavore, but here the cooking is decidedly Italian. When the weather’s chilly, there are few more pleasant places to linger than in front of the fireplace in Bottega’s dining room, with a glass of local red in your hand and a perfectly plated pasta within your fork’s reach. On warmer days and eves, the patio’s posh seating (with outdoor fireplaces) is the place to be.
