While it may be a little generic for some tastes, in the context of Medellín’s small pond of fine hotels, this sharp, functional hotel scores highly for polished service, bright modern rooms, and a clutch of resort-style amenities, plus a stellar location (at the end of Poblado’s Mila de Oro and a short walk from the upscale Santafé mall). Thoughtful in-room touches include coffeemakers, robes, flatscreen TVs, blackout blinds and excellent soundproofing. In the public spaces, heavy ratios of glass and steel, coupled with contemporary lighting and decor, don’t tend to foster a warm and cozy vibe, but the large lap pool, gym, spa, cool bar with city views, and manicured outdoor spaces provide a relaxing way to bookend a day in the city. An expansive buffet breakfast is included in the rate.
