At the corner of Baldwin Avenue and Hana Highway in Paia, this busy fish market, founded in 1989, must maintain its own fleet of fishing boats. How else to explain how the cooks can dish out filet after giant fresh filet for little more than it would cost to buy the same at the grocery? Order the fish tacos or the fish sandwich—a giant slab of perfectly grilled ahi, opah, or opakapaka laid out on a bun with coleslaw and grated cheese is extra satisfying after a briny day at the beach. Note: Prices are mostly the same at lunch and dinner, but with larger portions for some dinner items.
