Frommer's Review
The Bluebird opened in 1914 as a candy shop and soda fountain, then branched out to include a few lunch items on its menu. In 1921, it moved to its present location, expanding its menu again to include dinner. Today, The Bluebird continues to offer good food along with fountain treats. The decor, reminiscent of the 1920s, features the original marble behind the soda fountain and a mural depicting Logan from 1856 to modern times.
The menu offers the old-fashioned luncheon fare you'd expect, including a Monte Cristo and a minced ham sandwich. English-style chips can be ordered with any sandwich. There are also several full meal offerings for lunch, including a 6-ounce sirloin steak, chicken teriyaki, and a 5-ounce halibut steak. In addition to a few sandwiches, the dinner menu brings such options as vegetarian pasta primavera, chicken-fried steak, and the popular slow-roasted prime rib. No alcohol is served.
