There are currently about a hundred hostels in Krakow—when this superior one set up a few years ago near the main square, there were just 30. Despite this, the Flamingo beats the competition, and not just because of its terrific location. Some 50 guests are catered for with a kitchen, laundry, comfortable common room with TV,  free Internet terminals, and clean, modern bathrooms. The hostel also plans regular, and very entertaining, events. Reception is open 24 hours; the management also rent out a number of comfortable apartments in Floriańska.
