The biggest benefit of staying at this swish resort is that the beach is nestled between two outcroppings of rocks, essentially making it private. Just offshore is a coral reef teeming with 32 species of tropical fish and 13 types of colorful coral. Tucked away near the Big Buddha temple, the resort features 52 guest rooms all with private pools. Furnishings are very stylish, all made of light wood and with breezy and spacious “open concept” layouts. The excellent spa offers competitively priced treatments. There are cooking courses available at 2,000B per person, and daily activities such as temple tours, muay thai lessons and beach yoga; some of these are free, others carry a small charge. There are fab sunset views from the pool, restaurant, and beach, and a shuttle runs guests to Chaweng or Fisherman’s Village for shopping or dining.
