Set high on a hill behind Chaweng Noi Beach, this attractive resort offers something for all budgets, from very basic jungle huts with just a fan, mattress, and mosquito net, to a sturdier jungle bungalow, a spacious jungle house, and luxurious lodges and villas. The setting is truly idyllic, but it is so isolated (only 4WD vehicles and motorbikes can get up the hill), that you’ll need to take a shuttle down to the beach or town (free at scheduled times; a taxi is 400B). The views from the bungalows and rooms are sweeping, taking in the lush island interior, white-sand beaches, and nearby islands. Even if you’re not going to bed down, Jungle Club runs a popular restaurant by the same name that attracts many visitors to enjoy the view, the romantic, candle-lit setting and the range of Thai and French dishes.
