Located above a craft store on Killarney’s main street, this is a long-standing favorite of the local dining scene. Bricin means “little trout” in Gaelic, and seafood is one of the strong points of their traditional Irish menu. Locally reared meat is also often on the menu, served with interesting sauces—lamb with Madeira and rosemary, and steak with brandy, bourbon, and pepper. However, it’s the house specialty for which this place is renowned: boxty, a savory pancake stuffed with several different types of filling. The dining room is an old-fashioned kind of place, complete with stained-glass windows and an open fireplace. Bricin serves a great value early-bird menu (€22 for two courses) until 6:45pm.
