Driving up to the Park Lane Hotel, you'll notice that the rather pleasant Colonial Revival architecture of the main building is accented by the presence of a chain of tall palmettos, giving the place a genteel air. Rooms are modern, with a Southern accent, those palmettos returning in framed prints and bedspreads. The hotel is a good place for an extended stay for families with children as it has a range of amenities that can keep costs down. Each room has a full kitchen, along with a refrigerator, microwave, and coffee-maker. Larger families can check out one of the two-bedroom suites (there are also two suites with wheelchair-accessible showers). The hotel also has an outdoor heated swimming pool and a small, but well-maintained, playground.
