Getting There

By Car -- Fort Morgan is located on U.S. 34 at I-76, the main east-west route between Denver and Omaha, Nebraska. U.S. 34 proceeds west to Greeley and Estes Park, and east to Wray and southern Nebraska. Colo. 52 is the principal north-south route through Fort Morgan.

By Plane -- Denver International Airport is less than 90 minutes away.

By Train -- Amtrak (tel. 800/872-7245; www.amtrak.com) trains make daily stops on the Denver-to-Chicago route.

Getting Around

Platte Avenue (U.S. 34) is Fort Morgan's principal east-west thoroughfare. The north-south artery, Main Street, divides it and other streets into east and west designations. I-76 exits onto Main Street north of downtown.

Fast Facts

The Colorado Plains Medical Center, with a 24-hour emergency room, is located at 1000 Lincoln St. (tel. 970/867-3391). The Fort Morgan Post Office is at 300 State St. Contact the U.S. Postal Service (tel. 800/275-8777; www.usps.com) for hours and the addresses of other post offices.
