Frommer's Review
Owned by the Castello di Verrazzano, one of Chianti's best-known wine-producing estates, this wood-paneled cantinetta with a full-service bar/pasticceria and seating area helped spawn a revival of stylish wine bars as convenient spots for fast-food breaks. It promises a delicious self-service lunch or snack of focaccia, plain or studded with peas, rosemary, onions, or olives; buy it hot by the slice or as farcite (sandwiches filled with prosciutto, arugula, cheese, or tuna). Try a glass of their full-bodied chianti to make this the perfect respite. Platters of Tuscan cold cuts and aged cheeses are also available.
