This purpose-built modern hotel has been outfitted in a traditional style, more redolent of a country house than you’d think from the imposing brick-and-glass exterior. From the elegantly simple guest rooms, with their sumptuously comfortable beds, to the outstanding full-service spa, the hotel offers a host of thoughtful touches. All rooms are spacious, and bathrooms are marble luxury. Downstairs, the Seasons restaurant is gorgeous, with green, peaceful views. The Reading Room and Lobby Lounge are perfect places to linger over tea or a drink. In fact, the only downside is the location. Views over the rooftops of Ballsbridge are never going to equal the kind of city vista you get downtown—but you make up the difference in tranquility and beauty. (And it’s only a short train or taxi ride into the city center.)
