If you are looking to stay in the heart of LoDo, the venerable Oxford Hotel is the best pace to hang your hat. The 1891 hotel has been restored to its turn-of-the-century heyday, down to the recently restored entry with “Oxford” in lights. Nodding to the 1920s and 1930s with reproductions and art, rooms have king or queen beds and a stylish air, but are a bit on the smallish side. No worries—the location begs for guests to get out and explore, the resident McCormick & Schmick's is known for its seafood, and the two bars—including the one and only Cruise Room are among the best watering holes in the city.
