The essence of zen—there's even a little rock garden in the center—this Japanese restaurant serves the best sushi and soba noodles in Dallas. The sushi is super-fresh, much of it flown in from ports of call around the world (including Japan), and the soba noodles are toothsome whether they're served cold with a dipping sauce or in a savory broth topped with shredded duck and mountain root vegetables. I highly recommend the pressed sushi served here. it's a specialty of Kyoto that's not often found in the States. If you'd like to keep costs in check, come for lunch rather than dinner.
