14km (8 1/2 miles) S of Mendoza
Many travelers use this lovely, leafy suburb of Mendoza as a base for trips to the region. And it's easy to see why: It's convenient to both the city center (20 min. away) and to the bodegas area; it has a rich heritage, great restaurants, and a handful of excellent inns; and it's fun and relaxing. This is my first choice for those looking to base their visit away from the hustle of downtown Mendoza.
