You don’t have to spend long in the Basque region to realize how proud the locals are of their culture— and quite rightly so. This is the place to find out more about the origins of the region’s distinctive architecture, music, textiles, and local crafts. It’s also had major internal renovations over recent years, making it a beautiful place to visit, with the exhibits clearly and carefully laid out, and plenty of interactive displays. Although the text is in French, there’s a free audio guide in English you can download on the museum’s app
