Like so many in Bath, Milsoms is set in a historic building, which means that guests get rooms with wonderfully high ceilings, decorative moldings and other architectural frills. To these good bones, the hoteliers have added modern furnishings with crisp lines, though the color schemes and types of furnishings varies from room to room. The location is excellent, close to all of Bath's top sights and the very popular Loch Fyne restaurant is located beneath the hotel; it's a fish lover's paradise. The only difficulty staying here has to do with its standing as a historic (read: protected) house. No changes can be made to the Milsoms' structure, so there's no elevator inside and the reception area is up a very steep flight of stairs.
