The way these low, Mediterranean-style buildings are staggered across the landscaped grounds helps lend a smaller, more intimate feel to this otherwise sizeable full-service resort set on 750 feet of white sand beach—where guests can enjoy a full range of complimentary water sports, including snorkeling, sailing, kayaking, wind-surfing, and water-skiing. Completely renovated in 2010, the resort features seven different types of rooms, all modern and colorful, three pools, and three restaurants plus the noted and semi-independent restaurant Daphne's (shared with The House, The Tamarind’s adults-only sister property next door). The staff are warm and friendly, and there are lots of thoughtful touches and specials—off-season, kids often can stay and eat free.
