Mod cons and classic Art Deco architecture—those, along with the generally reasonable rates and terrific location, are the primary lures of this hotel. So let's break them down. The location is right in the heart of the buzzy center city area. The building, a historic one, still has its tiling, curvaceous walls (and front desk) and other period details intact. And while rooms are less scintillating—they're not dowdy, just done up in typical, corporate style with white duvets on the beds, and heavy wooden furniture—they do boast good Wi–Fi and powerful showers. And we've found that one can often get quite good rates here, if you take the time to surf the web. Try to get one of the northwest-facing rooms for views straight down Queen Street.  Tip: The airport bus stops right outside, so there's no need to splurge on a taxi.
