Located across the way from the historic Fox Theatre in the renovated Beaux-Arts Carnegie Building, this charming, inexpensive boutique hotel greets guests with a welcoming foyer, hardwood floors, and oversized Adirondack chairs in each unit. The rooms feature colorful murals and flat-screen TVs with DVD players and in-room movies. The bathrooms are tiny (that said, they do have complimentary Aveda products in them), but the spa-style showers are relaxing at the end of a long day hitting the pavement (or sitting in a conference room). A major renovation in 2012 gave Hotel Indigo a much-needed facelift. Dog owners, take note: This is a rare Atlanta gem that welcomes pets with no weight limit. In fact, it celebrates our furry friends of all sizes with a Canine Cocktail Hour, where each Tuesday guests and locals bring their dogs to the lobby and bar; dogs receive special treats and are served water from a silver pitcher.
