Historic hotels don't get any more luxurious than the Jerome, but don't expect Victorian frills: The 1889 hotel's redbrick facade belies the contemporary décor inside. Unlike many historic lodgings, the rooms here are spacious, often created from melding two or more of the originals into one, with plenty of nods to the Rocky Mountain locale, including log-inspired bed frames. The age of the hotel also has proven no impediment to modern technology; flatscreen TVs, iPads, and humidifiers are standard.
