In 2006, twin sisters Kimberly and Stephanie, who were born in Aruba and raised in Belgium, were on a windsurfing trip around the island and came across this surfer's beach that was once a coconut plantation. When the property was up for sale, they bought it and transformed it into an intimate hotel with 14 casitas spread across the coconut grove. The romantic air that reigns throughout the hotel is enhanced by the private, air-conditioned casitas that are anything but rustic. Accommodations feature full kitchens and living rooms decorated in a colorful Caribbean fashion, and even have charcoal grills and hammocks out on the private patios. The beach is just a three-minute walk away, and the hotel provides complimentary beach supplies. If you need recommendations, the owners can supply you with ideas for places to go that are more on the local side.
