The most famous restaurant in Amsterdam’s Chinatown is also one of its best; this family-run venue looks like nothing from the outside and frankly not that much in the neon-lit sparse interior but it’s always packed out with local Chinese families. The plates piled high with noodles, Peking duck, and beef spare ribs dripping in honey simply fly out of the kitchen. There are now two more equally successful outposts of Nam Kee at Geldersekade 117 and Marie Heinekenplein 4. If you don’t fancy eating out, there’s also a delivery service.
