Set on the small island of Oosterdok just east of Centraal Station, &moshik is one of just four two-Michelin-starred restaurants in the city. It’s masterminded by chef Moshik Roth, whose ethereal, ever-changing tasting menus take you on a whirlwind gastronomical journey with flavors from such far-flung places as Morocco, Japan, and Turkey as well as The Netherlands. The exquisitely crafted seven-course menu might feature a raw scallop topped with pheasant jelly and Dutch caviar; roasted sweetbreads with anchovies and a squeeze of Amalfi lemon; and tender milk-fed lamb dotted with apricots. There’s also a full vegetarian tasting menu and a handful of dishes available a la carte. Enormous floor-to-ceiling windows in the intimate, 55-seat dining room afford lovely harbor views.
